In these months when we feel the autumn in the sweetest way, we will tell you what is necessary for
us to continue living on our balconies, which we are not ready to leave yet.

Summer; It is a season when every door and window is open in our house, with thin clothes that
warm us and sometimes overwhelm us. If it is winter; the season when we get cold from head to toe,
watching the rain or snow at home with our blankets and coffee. While everything changes from
summer to winter, we can continue our balcony pleasure with a few small applications. Let’s talk
about a few tricks that will allow us to use our balcony in summer and winter.

Whether it’s a balcony, a terrace or a garden, the first thing we’re going to do is “close” it. Closing the
space that we will use as a winter garden will give us the opportunity to sit and live comfortably in
the space we have created in winter. Although there are many alternatives for this, unfortunately,
this will be the change that will create your most expense item. Although there are a wide variety of
balcony, terrace closure or winter garden methods, you should first start by finding the one that suits
your space and budget.

Let’s come to what to do after the closing process;

  1. Determine the intended use of your conservatory. Will it be more of a living space for you?
Or will it be a workshop where you can realize your hobbies? Once you’ve made the decision,
it’s time to roll up your sleeves.
  2. Then, after determining the location of your winter garden, you can adjust the necessary
glass systems and shades to get the maximum benefit from daylight.

After we have determined the steps above and done, let’s come to the decoration. You can focus on
the use of wood materials and stones to make the atmosphere of your Winter Garden natural and
warm. If you want to take advantage of the daylight more; If your space is suitable, you can cover the
ceiling with glass and ensure that the light is taken from the top. If your space is already covered like
a balcony, it will be beneficial to arrange it so that it is taken around the balcony at the maximum
level. Our light is ok, we have also adjusted the ambiance of our place, let’s see how we provide and
protect the temperature. If our place is independent from our house and is in a garden, we strongly
recommend that you use a stove or fireplace first. Although the fireplace may seem costly at first, it
will save you fuel and add a tremendous warmth and pleasant appearance to your winter garden.
The cooker stove, on the other hand, is indispensable for our childhood. You can get a nostalgic look
with the kitchen stove. If your winter garden is your balcony or terrace, it will be connected to the
house, so you can usually benefit from the heating system of the house, but where it is not enough,
you can benefit from electric heaters as a supplement. You can provide warmth to both your soul
and body, especially with an armchair and sofa blankets placed next to electric heaters.

Generally when decorating; We recommend that you take advantage of items such as cushions,
blankets, pouffes, etc. If you want to decorate in a modern way, you can benefit from the wonderful
harmony of metal and wood. On the color scale, we suggest that you prefer natural colors and take
advantage of the plants and their greenery!

For “lighting”, which is one of the most important elements of the winter garden, our advice is to
choose lighting elements that will generally create a dim environment. For this, you can use lanternlike lighting made of metal or wooden materials, in which you can put candles. You can also benefit
from lighting elements such as spotlights, floor lamps, pendants. The important thing here is that the
lighting is in harmony with the spirit of the place and does not fall apart!
Now your winter garden is complete! And it’s time to enjoy the winter
